On Friday the 25th of July, I hosted Basil Zempilas MLA in Harvey as part of his statewide listening tour. We met with locals, small business and first responders working hard to keep the Southwest strong.
We visited HavCon Engineering and their over 40 staff and apprentices who are building skills for the future and the Southwest. We spoke with residents at the Curious Cockatoo about key local issues, toured the impressive facilities at Harvey Ag College and St John-Sub Centre and also met with local business Mitre 10.
To finish off the day, we joined the Hon. Dr Steve Thomas MLC at Albermarle’s Kemerton site for an energy round table focused on workforce and regional development.
No matter who we met with from businesses to schools, apprentices to teachers to engineers and first responders one clear message held strong: our region needs real solutions and strong representation.
