I express my support for the Shire of Harvey, and all staff members following the recent psychological abuse they have been subject to.
Whilst I and the Shire encourage respectful debate, targeting individual staff members crosses a line. These individuals dedicate their work and energy to serving their community and deserve respect.
Someone who doesn’t hold a position of office or leadership in the community does not represent the voice of the whole community.
All members of government; federal, state and local deserve respect. At the end of the day, these staff are local community members, mothers and fathers doing their jobs to better our Shire.
I stand with the Shire of Harvey and the hard work they do for our community.
